Conception Rockrider suspended mountain bike and AEVON suspended trailer, articulated on the seat post, in welded aluminum. Editing by Yannick
Motor 2 motors mounted on rear and front wheel reduced by 600W of nominal power, 48 V (“Free Ride” kit from CycloBoost). These engines do not regenerate.
Solar 4 solar panels of 16 back-contact cells providing a power of 220 Wp for an area of 1 m² exposed while driving + 4 panels deployed at standstill bringing the power to 400 W. Adjustable structure not controlled
Battery ssembly of 16 LiFePo cells of 3.2 V and 20 Ah, i.e. a capacity of 1 kWh. It is seen as the series connection of two 24 V batteries charged independently by 2 MPPT 24 V VICTRONchargers
Yannick and Béatrice have identical bikes. They have been tested over 52 000 km in several years. First equipped with a single engine Yannick installed a second similar engine in 2019 before the Sun Trip tour in the Alps. Mountain routes are thus greatly facilitated, without overheating the engines.

Part of the Recordmen!

A Sun Trip fan since 2013, Beatrice was the driving force behind the couple’s participation in the 2015 edition. This one was only possible thanks to the technical skills of Yannick, designer of the bikes, engineer, math teacher and meteorologist.

Since 2014, they have travelled the roads of France and Europe by solar bike and have remained faithful to this means of locomotion as well as to the different editions of the Sun Trip. They have thus covered more than 520 000km.

Beatrice says that it is an essential tool for her form and her therapy against a cancer present since 2010.

On the 2015 Sun Trip, the duo arrived in 63 days, won the Jury Prize and finished 2nd in the Public Prize!

The duo will come back to taste the atmosphere of the project during the Sun Trip Tour 2017 and 2019, and Beatrice will be a solo participant of the test edition of the Corsica Sun Trip the same year.

In 2023, Yannick and Beatrice will join the Sun Trip pack for 2000km through the Alps.
