In the afternoon of the 1. August we reached after only 100km the city of Barcelona. We met Dirk, Florian and Leo at the hotel that was offered to us as a part of the great welcome that the city of Barcelona made for us.

Already at the Stelvio we started to think about to not finish the full Suntrip. In fact we could finish it. Our bikes are doing well and we are in time if wee keep up the current rythm of riding as we did till now. Our main reasons to return slowly are that we want to enjoy more, my back where i start to feel more often the surgery place and that we are too exhausted afer days with 8h of riding time on the counter.
Alrough we have since we left home 9700kms on the odometer. With this great event here we had a good end of our trip and it is also the point where my first bycycle trip 13 years ago finished. we will coninue to enjoy our trip. A bit slower, and we think about what our role might be in a future edition…
