For this first Sun Trip, I chose to adapt my everyday commuter bike, on which Guillaume from Déclic Eco had installed a 250 W Bafang motor and a 36 V 15 Ah battery back in 2017.
This winter, I purchased and modified a Burley trailer, fitting it with a 173 W solar panel and an additional 36 V 27 Ah battery (many thanks to Christophe Bayard for his advice).
It’s a simple setup, but after being tested over nearly 700 km, it appears robust and reliable enough to start the Sun Trip Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes 2026 with confidence.
