The Sun Trip The Sun Trip

There were a lot of people in the family photo for this first public moment of the Sun Trip France 2020, this Friday, July 3 in Albertville town hall. Institutional and private partners came to say why they believed in this “post-crisis” project. It was also an opportunity to present the full program of the event in Savoie, a final at the summit, from August 6 to 9.

More than ever, in this 2020 context, the summer project could not have seen the light of day without the confidence, reconfirmed or new, of twenty partners, many of whom are based in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and more precisely in Savoie. The Sun Trip, or the art of bringing together good energies:

Albertville: A 5-Step Arrival

On Sunday August 9, participants will wake up in the Chapieux valley. Only crossing the Cormet de Roselend will remain to complete the circle!

We are working on the possibility of integrating some young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into the group, from the bivouac on August 8, then on these last kilometers, with electric bikes.

Once arrived in Albertville, the group will first take the direction of the city’s districts (4 p.m.), to meet the population and testify to their experience around the country.

At 5 p.m. the arrival will be celebrated in Place de l’Europe, in a party and sharing atmosphere.

At 6 p.m .: award ceremony, then at 6.30 p.m. the Popular University in Albertville will organize a conference on the theme “What is your Vélosophie? The bicycle in all its forms”, in the presence in particular of the designer Didier Tronchet, author of the successful book “Le Petit Traité de Vélosophie”.

The finish will end at 7:30 p.m. in the form of a ball, “La Boum à vélo”, organized with a street theater company.

Finally, a new meeting at the Albertville Childhood Center on August 10 with the participants and their bikes.
